Hello mate did I speak to you on city turbo forum?

And thanks folks for the comments.

Just been to an ac place in perth and got quoted $2500 to $3000 to fix.... not happy with that at all. bit of a fob off I think but they tested the gas and all levels are good so that is a good sign.

So before big test the pressure valve I have found out the compressor works and the system gets cold but as soon as the compressor goes off the cold air stops . I think the compressor is staying on too long and then protecting itself and shutting the system down soon I'm thinking pressure valve or txv .... Would you agree?

    Cheers again folks

Update on the Air con folks

Just had a really nice local business pop round to look at the accord and he has diagnosed that the issue is with the compressor clutch. All relays etc are working fine and the system cycles but then the clutch disengages and the cold stops. but......The signal to the clutch is active yet the clutch is not so bingo we have a fault.....

    My question now.....

?? With the compressor clutch on an accord can the clutch be changed without degassing (if that's a word) the system or is It a job for a professional?

Now I know what the issue is I am full of unrealistic optimism of my mechanical abilities that I assure you are not as good as I think they are lol so before I make a mistake can anyone clarify if I need to degas the system

    Cheers fellow honda nuts
