EK1 1999 Clutch replacement and instllation

    Hello,

So my clutch is up for a replacement (release bearing gone, slipping), I just have some general questions regarding this.

I might be doing it with some friends who are mechanics or I meant take it in and get it professionally done, I haven't really decided yet. If I do choose do to do it myself could I purchase a more 'heavy duty/sports clutch' and install that with no problems? When I was speaking to a mechanic he said they get the flywheel sent off and machined.

How easy/hard is replacing a Civic 1999 EK1 CXI clutch? If I will be doing this with a group of friends?

    Thanks,

If you have to ask - this is definitely something you cannot do.
Pay a mechanic to do it, there is too many things that require specific torque settings to properly bed in.

If you need a quicker cheaper person to do it shoot me a PM
