    EK oil disappeared

    Hi,

So I checked my oil probs about three weeks ago and haven't done much driving since then, a couple of days ago I noticed a clanking sound that seemed to be synchronised with the pistons, anyway it doesn't sound too nice so I decided to check my oil today and I noticed that it was totally empty! Even after a couple of minutes of driving...

So yeah I'm going to get some oil tomorrow, any should matter right? As long as it's compatible with my engine and climate, EK1 1999 CXI. D16Y4.

So yeah any recommendations and precautions?

    Cheers,

I'm well stocked up with oil, got some Penrite 10W-40. I check the oil each time I fill the fuel, the oil light didn't come on no?

    What integra said.
I check mine every morning before I warm her up.
And just before I leave work.

Don't warm it up and then check oil stick,
like I use to 5 years ago.

Make sure to thoroughly check for leaks

If it dies I highly recommend getting polo

It was actually fine, the noise was actually a faulty catalytic converter, and there was some oil in there, I'm replacing the filter and putting in some penrite this Saturday, ill do a good check also for any leaks

Polo wouldn't loose oil as much as this I reckon, would thoroughly recommend
