They're only a nice set of 3-way splits. They won't win any db drags or anything. The sound quality is great, volume is loud enough. They give descent enough bass so i don't need to install a sub. and without a sub i save weight and get to keep a light car that handles well.
and, they fit the honda gills etc so the stereo still looks stock.... other than the head unit. so yeah, got them for front and back.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm i'll take a photo and see if we can see it.

i'm geting accelertion hesitation and bogging at around 2,000 RPM. the cat is new, i changed the fuel filter the other week, the O2 sensors seem to be working, spark plugs are good..... the only other thing i can think of is EGR is playing up or the dizzy needs cleaning, or the fuel pump needs replacing.

i had the same problem on my prelude, which had the EGR.

while it did fix it temporarily, it came back within a week or two

have you cleaned the throttle body and what not as well?

Nothing, they are a fun little engine, it's just people have to compare them to b series for some reason.

compared to b series they aren't too powerful..

But a d series can be a fun little engine none the less, especially on a twisty enough road... On a twisty road any car that handles well will be fun.

The intake is clean but i didn't clean the throttle body, i'll try that before buying a pump, thanks!

ok, yeah, you can't really compare a SOCH to a DOCH vtech. But it's a surprising little engine for what it is. There's no real acceleration down the straights but I really loose 'em in the corners. lolol

Can you chuck us a photo of the fuel injector rail
usually the EGR port has a runner that runs along the top of it
I know some Honda engines here did NOT come with an EGR port like their USA counterparts

If you're stuttering at 2k rpm it's probably your o2 sensor playing up (Under certain light load the ecu takes info from the MAP & o2 sensor)
Does it bog at WoT (wide open throttle)?
Had a similar problem with my old accord, were it would hesitate at that rpm - i replaced my IACV (cleaning did not work) and reset my base idle, after bleeding my coolant and checking vaccuum leaks
    Also hows ignition timing?
    Any CEL's?
