Crx with b18c/ b20b8 bottom end

Hey guys just bought a 92 Crx with a b18c/ b20b bottom end. Its not engineered, will that be a pain to get done? And does the b20b bottom end make it a 2.0 litre ?

Also I'm not real familiar with the b18c/ b20b bottom end engine combination can anyone let me know what the advantages of this are etc ?

And also how do I tell if the top end is a b18c. where the engine code is it says b20b8 but I have no idea how to tell if it's a b18c top end .....

    Cheers guys
    Johnny

Your B20B would potentially produce more torque then a B18C depending on supportive mods tune etc.
It would be classed as a 2 litre.

    Hi there
B20b2 with b18c or b16a vtec head is like shogunovddrk said are toquey engine with bigger capacity of close to 2L over the b16a2 1.6L of stock or b18c 1.8L

You get a longer piston bore of 84mm with b20 bottom engine with 89mm stroke both more than a b18c

The b20b2 block is from a honda crv non vtec head you have
While the heads vtec looks to be from a b18c2 from integra dc2 vtir
there will be head code on the head some where at front of it

I think it b18c2 due the fact it has skunk2 intake manifold as the dc2r b18c7 has the same style factory that flows well and the two intake manifolds head flange don't line up the same

If you want to engineer cert it best speak to someone who highly recommend a engineer here who knows honda's
You may need to upgrade front brakes to 282mm dc2r front brakes or 280mm disc off a new mini with dc2r brake calipers
And maybe a few other things that the engineer while know

Happy to answer any more questions if you got any
