Necessary to Cut bonnet for k24 eg civic

As the title say do i rlly have to cut the bonnet if im swapping a k24 into a eg civic? Cos im wanting to get the spoon cf bonnet or the j's racing bonnet without having to cut. Otherwise ill just stick with b18 swap

    cheers

Most have had to cut the webbing under the bonnet. However, there is one guy in Sydney building an IPRA EG civic with K24 and he apparently can fit the bonnet shut without any cutting. DO a bit of a search of the build threads at k20a.org.

The most you'll have to do is maybe notch the webbing in a couple spots, and we are talking small notches. Don't waste your time with a B18 swap

yea looked around k20.org, most have cut which im trying to avoid. While some have been hammered in.
Reason is i dont want ruin a spoon cf bonnet by cutting the webbing. Just to confirm once more a k20a engine swap doesnt require me to cut the bonnet? and does anyone have a j's racing bonnet on a eg civic k-swap?

So you're limiting yourself to shitty (in comparison) motors so you can have a carbon fiber bonnet?

K20 requires no cutting what so ever

K24 will require some tiny notches

    Fuk the bonnet off

unless planning to run p/s? dunno if eg/dc is same in regards to k20 p/s bonnet clearance. Probably ways around it anyway.

Agree, fuk the bonnet that you haven't yet bought, off

Cf bonnet is already unroadworthey so just bash the webbing till it doesn't touch.
