Ep3 questions

Hi all.

Long time lurker...picking up my ep3 today

Now I have yet to see it myself but apparently the car has a dc5r alternator as the original one was playing up. Everything works but the battery light shows up on the dash as the Ecu is not recognising the dc5 part.

Is there anyway around this or I have to get an ep3 alternator?

Would Honda Au have them...or I'd have to import that part too?

I dont know shit, but check the part number thats in the car now.
