Npz, if you find its consuming too much [Each to their perspective on this, Euro owners think going through 1L for 1000km is ok lol] then go 5W-40 and you should be alright

I'll test out 5w-30 first and see what happens. Does Euros burn oil quickly or something?
Sorry for noob questions. Only recently bought a Cl9 about a month ago.

According to a Foreman at a local honda dealer
The Manual cl9's are prone to burning - but the auto's aren't (weird)
Something along the lines of the tcu programming that prevents the autos from burning oil
You've gone through more accords than I changed underwear this month! - Sugz

Ohhh? Thats stupid. Its alright though. I service it every 5000kms and check the Dipstick once a month or so..
But because I recently bought this one I was just doing a little research.
Not the same... XXW refers to the viscosity of the oil @ cold temp... In simpler terms, its ability to 'flow' at cold/startup temps. The higher the 'weight', the less able it is to flow.
So no deal on 10w-30 & 10w-40?
I'll just ask them to order 5w30 in then. I see heaps of people use 10w-40 on their Accord Euros with about 100k kms.
Thought I would get away with it...
