Have you not drained oil before?

TIP: Lay a fk load of newspaper before you start. If this is your 1st time.

Also I only replace that washer once a year usually before summer starts.

I have bought a car with no washer. It didn't leak anyway, It was without a washer for a few changes till I went to the dealer again.

why do you need a new sump plug? also protip- do it with the engine warm, purely so I'm not the only one who got drenched in hot oil the first time they did an oil change.
if you get a filter from the dealer they usually come with the crush washer. +the oem filter is much smaller and it is easier to get on and off in future the most aftermarket ones that are double the size.

My mate told me that now too recently. I know you have to do it when warm so it gets everything out smoothly.

I was thinking of just using a HAMP oil filter anyway.

    Thanks for the help Jon!

Honda filters from the dealer are Z547 size (small width and long) - that's the new size
The original size is a z79a short and fat for old 90's hondas - thats why theyre 'double the size'

Update: Doing the service this weekend. Have got everything I need besides the copper ring at the moment. Will more then likely get it on the day.

I got a H.A.M.P filter from JDMYard and I'm assuming it is the Z547 size.
