    [CL9] 80,000km Major Service

It's time for 80,000km major service. Want to do a proper job this time so few quotes from Honda dealers... $750.00!!!

I was planning to change the gearbox oil and spark plugs as well. You are looking at a $1,000.00 for a damn service.

Any good recommendations for service? I lost my trust on my mechanic (not going to name but it is a shop inside car park in North Sydney... ) where I found out that he could not even install my air filter properly!

Time to bump up an old thread.

Ive got an 80,000 service due on the '05 Euro. I have been looking around for quotes.

Hannys have said $160 + parts. Others have ranged between $550 -$800.

Given this is a major service, how much can i expect the parts to cost?

I'm based in Strathfield, NSW area so any recommendations for mechanics would be good too.

    Cheers

    auto or manual?

and it depends on whether you need a valve clearance (probably not)

    You'll need:
    Oil+filter
    Petrol/Fuel tank filter
    Air filter
    Interior air-con filter

for an auto probably due for a ATF change, thats 3 litres of ATF

probably $200-250 worth of parts (fuel filter arent cheap), plus another ~$70 if you change auto transmission fluid

Thanks for the heads up on price. Its an automatic and I will be getting the transmission fluid changed.

No idea about the valve clearance though. Let''s see what the mechanic says.

The main problem with the car at the moment is slight vibrations on passenger side when car is idling at the lights.
