2007 1.5 vtec CVT - Buy or dont buy

    Hi Guys

Test drove a 2007 Jazz 1.5 vtec CVT yesterday. Very impressed with it.

    But...

After reading last night it seems the starter clutch issue is a biggie.

The car in question has 90k km on the clock, and at 60k km the gearbox was flushed and oil replaced with the bproper Honda stuff. Not because it was acting up, just as a precaution by Honda. Now it still drives perfectly.

Is this at all a gearbox that can be driven to 300k km and beyond?

Is it all of them that go bust or just some of them?

Can they be kept going with regular oil changes or will I eventually have to replace the starter clutch?

Really really like this car. Manual is not an option yet. Will appreciate your input guys.

Flush it every 20-40,000kms IMO and you shouldn't find an issue.
Had a jazz for a good 5 years myself - the only issue was a rumble in the box which was fixed with the fluid change.
