Question Help reading OBD1 check engine light codes from 1999 Honda HRV

Hello, does anyone have experience with reading OBD1 codes?

I've got a 1999 Honda HRV auto CVT with a check engine light (CEL) that comes and goes and need some help fixing it.

I connected a paper clip in one of the plugs under the dash on the passenger side, and the check engine light and ABS light started blinking in a pattern.

    CEL - 7 short blinks
ABS light - 6 long blinks, 1 short blink

    According to this http://honda-tech.com/acura-integra-...s-here-978933/

For CEL, 7 short blinks = 7 TPS - throttle position sensor

    And ABS (1998+), 6 long 1 short = 61 - ignition voltage

Symptoms: sometimes has trouble accelerating at low throttle. Instead of smoothly accelerating it would jerk and shudder for a second or two.

Once the CEL turns on while driving, the RPMS would jump up and stay higher than normal. Goes away when car is restarted.

Recent work: Replaced the transmission with another one. Replaced the ignition barrel and key.

Am I reading the codes correctly? What would I need to do?
I'm thinking of going wreckers and getting a replacement throttle body. And then resetting the ECU.
What do you guys reckon? Thanks in advance
