    and people in general

IMO buy OEM and service the car yourself. Save that cash.

Or pay someone else and buy SCA brand

Personally I wouldn't hesitate with ryco, haven't had a problem before, I don't like the repco filters but that's purely because I just don't like them.

Since you've brought up the topic; How do you correctly use engine flush? Do you pour it in to the engine with the old oil still in it? or do you empty the old oil and then use the flush?

Don't let the oil go through the filter, it will only slow down the oil and slow your revs.

Leave it with no filter, best way to get some free power

Generally engine flush is not needed if your oil has been changed regularly. Modern oil has detergent additive to keep the engine clean.
If you really compel to use it, you can use it every 50k km and it goes inside the engine with the old engine oil and ran for about 10 minutes (please see instructions). Old engine oil and flush is then removed and replaced with new oil as normal. When you are running the engine with the flush additive, you may hear clattering noise as the oil viscosity is not quite right (too thin). Using flush additive may also reveal oil leaks (through piston, etc...) in older cars as the carbon build up masks/blocks the leaks. This will lead to blue smoke coming out of the exhaust.

This. Engine flush is a little bit of left over ingredients bottled as a cure all for the super cheap auto market. Not required at all.

As above I'm yet to see a benefit to using an engine flush.
