    Brake Lubricant recommendation

    Yo,

    What brand brake lube do you use? Do you different type for the pins and the shims?


    Bendix lube any good? Came as 1st and 2nd top search on Google.

    Why do you need lube? Are you rebuilding calipers? If so then the overhaul kits should contain the greases (3 different greases in oem Honda kits for the various points ).
    Other than rebuild, you shouldn't need to lube the brakes. The stuff lasts a long time.

    The bendix stuff I belive is for between the piston and the backing of the pad but really most high temp greases should be fine on the slides

    you can actually get away with using a thin engine oil. Just place a generous amount on the face of the rotor itself for best results.

    Meant to spread a bit of grease and the back of the new pads and for the pins?

    I'll go with Bendix.

    Not really needed on the backs of the pads. You could lube the ears a bit if it concerns you. With the pins I generally find them to have a fair bit of lube in there whenever I rebuild a caliper. If I were to relube the pins because they were dry I'd strip and clean them as well as the cavities in the brackets, and replace the rubber boots at the same time.

    Are you referring to the anti-squeal grease?

    I use I think its called CQ? can't remember now but I usually used what came with my pads [Dixcel, Endless, PMU] only if they didn't come with any then use the other brand.

    Bendix should be ok.

    I used the Dixcel's anti-squeal and it worked well.

    Also tried Pmu's backing shim plate and it worked well too
    '03 Integra DC5 Type R

    Power: 155Kw with Mugen N1 ECU
