    Fuel Consumption Accord Euro 2004

I feel that my accord euro is burning more fuel than required. I get about 350-400KM per full tank of Ron98. City driving, with the occasional hgwy driving. Light footed on the pedal.

What are all you all getting out of your Euros? Any ideas why my car is so bad on fuel consumption?

    Thanks.

Can you please tell me the condition (service history and km) of the car?
Are all tyres fully inflated? Nothing heavy in the boot?

IF it hasnt been done in recent memory -

    replace fuel filter
    replace air filter

Both if in poor condition / blocked can give poor fuel economy

Try the basics - even a good service with fresh oil / oil filter / spark plugs and adjustment of tyre pressure etc can bring the economy back on track.

Thanks for the tip. I got my euro from my mate for peanuts. 160k km. Got it for $3k. Completely stock and nvr serviced for a year. My m8 could not give a f#%*. Ha ha
I have since done a major service on it hoping I can bring it back to life. Have since replaced the gasket as well to fix an oil leak.

The only two things that I realise was
    1) the car has a vibration issue during idle when the AC is on. Can a new battery fix this?

    2) sometimes, car shudders from 40km-60km mark.

Not the end of the world but I guess it still does the job.

the shudder might be a CV joint, common fault.

Ac vibration is pretty normal, unless it squeals, in which case it needs gas,

Thanks, I managed to get about 450KM in a full tank(combined). Not too bad I think considering the car's age. i'll live with it.
I need new shocks tho. might upgrade to bilsteins.
