I only turned it -90 degrees, so from 12 to 9 o'clock.
The light on make the revs drop like its adding load to the engine.
Technically the iacv motor should compensate for this and increase the rpm to the setpoint. Maybe this is faulty.
It is worth turning it the other way, maybe 180 degrees and see if it increase the idle.

I did try that but turning clockwise actually reduced the idle :/
Lol. My local Honda dealer is pretty disappointing. Every time I get parts from them they have no idea. Plus they rolls their eyes whenever I tell them I have engine swap

Just reading more. According to the shop book. There should be no suction from lower port after warm up. So FITV is dodgy. But since a working valve restricts air after warm up, would a broken one give me a high idle, not low?
The more I read the more I think IACV is culprit. But apart from cleaning it, things I could try are changing gasket and checking electrical connections.
My gut feeling is also a faulty iacv.
If you turn it anti clockwise 180 degrees (you could try a full turn), it should manually let air through the engine and increase the idle rpm. This is not going to fix a broken iacv but will make the engine idle better.
Thanks, man. I will try. Have ordered the little 'figure 8' gasket and will get the multimeter onto the connection when I get time. These suckers seem to be quite expensive to replace. And I've been burnt before buying used replacement parts. Ah 90's car life!
