Spoon change rod and K tuned shifter. help!!!

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you guys have a spoon change rod and a K tuned shifter. I want to know how you got it to fit ?
the bottom bit of the change rod is blocking the K tuned shifter from bolting it on. On the stock change rod it doesnt have the bottom bit. You might not know what i mean but heres a picture (bad picture, phone died)
Do I have to grind it ? or is that a no go
or should i just change back to my stock change rod?
This is on a dc2r btw, but im guessing its all simliar b/d series

It's obvious the spoon rod was designed with the OEM shifter in mind and not the bulky ass ktuned shifter

Use the stock change rod
Or use the stock shifter...

Yeah, I decided to just use the stock change rod, as soon as i can get this bitch pin out haha, thanks
