    Crx h22a

hi guys ive recently sold my s15 and have a bit of cash for my dream setup... a gen 2 crx with a torquey H in it.

as the s2000 is pretty much maxed out from factory, there is no point touching it so i found a crx and a healthy engine.

now i have researched a few mounting options for this conversion but would really like your opinions on what is best

ive narrowed it down to the explicit speed performance full kit and the bisimoto H2D kit

with the esp kit axles and shift linkages and shifter are required... approx $2k
the H2D kit will allow me to use the the drivetrain of the d series.... approx $1300

would like ppls thoughts on this, imo the esp kit seems like the proper way to go with the engine sitting flush inside the engine bay and allowing the bonnet to close fully and look stock

the custom hasport mounts that come with the bisimoto kit make the engine sit higher and require the bonnet to be raised up.

will be ordering asap so as soon as im happy with my decision i can start the build

can you please post links to these kits.....

A lot of money for the kits and putting a h22a in a gen 2 is going to be tighter than a virgin's box.

Do you do alot of work yourself?

why not fabricate your own mounts, shift linkage etc.

Already have the h22 and k series is just too expensive...
H2b would require gearbox axles shift linkages, I already have a motor in the crx so using the d series box etc will save me a bit of money.

I do a lot of work myself, but fabricating mounts is something I've never done before and this motor in an Ed is something that would need a lot of trial and error so buying a mount kit would be ideal

    Hi Rihia.

There has been 1 H22a CRX that i know of and thats done by Online performance.
The h22a motors are relatively cheap but the harder part will be fitting it and alot tricker to have all options like A/C and powersteering.
not to mention the bonnet clearance.

yes - your right K-series is expensive. Not for the faint hearted.

There's a few around in America I think mostly... Video up on YouTube of a Ef sedan running a 13.2 and updated to a 12.7... So there's good potential in the d series box.

Plus the ESP kit is a 6-8 week wait as they are hand made on order
