    Intake Manifold Cover - Re-painted

Thought I'd write up how I painted my intake manifold cover for my 2007 Honda Accord Euro 2.4 K24A3.

    This is the stock.

First thing I did was take the manifold cover off, by removing the 2 x 6mm nuts and pulling the cover off carefully. There is a plastic clip on the middle that holds it in.

I then masked up with electrical tape the i-vtec 2.4 and the bolt holes.

I used caliper paint as it is high temperature resistant.

I used steel wool to scratch the paint slightly to make the paint stick better.

I then took it outside and did 4 coats

I didn't have any clear coat at the time, so I removed the masking and put it onto the car.

Unfortunately I lost one of the 6mm nuts that hold it in place .

When I took the masking off there was a bit of over spraywhere I didn't want it, so I got some Supercheap auto degreaser and used a q tip to rub the paint off.

The next day I Went to supercheap and grabbed some high temperature resistant clear coat paint.

I then scratched the paint slightly again, did another 2 coats of the caliper paint, then waited about 20 minutes and did 3 coats of clear coat.

Then I put it back, and it looks bloody awesome.

Really happy with this mod, takes about 30 minutes to paint. Super easy.
