Thread: Cxi enquiry

Is there any benefits of a after market ecu for a 99 cxi. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has done this and noticed any power gain?

well if u have a ECu fully tuneable u will get power gains but

once u start working on your car cams Etc u can readjust the ECU to produce maximum power at anytime

BUt ECU alone willl yes give u more power

For one thing , this guy's car engine dosent have "CAMS" - its SOHC .

Another , i dont know of any aftermarket support for a cxi engine ( 1.5 or 1.6 SOHC efi i dont know - ) SO all you can do is usual header / intake / muffler.

i/h/e, i suggest you just get a piggy back such as the safc2.... it will allow you to adjust ur fuel curve and get the most out of your mods... dont except a miracle tho as the d16y4 isnt the most powerful engine....
