    <5th gen> Manual Conversion

Hey dudes.. got a 94 VTi-S Auto, and i wanna swap it to a manual... right now im looking at whether to convert it or just sell its and buy a manual.

Who has done a manual conversion on their car... exactly what parts were required (other than the obvious gearbox and pedals) and roughly how much did it cost? Would anyone recommend it?

    Cheers

Generally, manual conversion costs start from 2000.

I reckon if you can find a good 2nd hand or reconditioned manual gearbox and parts needed, I don't see why it won't function as a normal manual car. Of course, the workmanship would have to be reputable too.

I say, sell the car and find a manual car.

auto + turbo = busted auto

1k is reasonable, if your mechanic knows his stuff you shouldnt have any issues. Just make sure he will warranty the conversion
