    eg. for tyre size..

    215/35/R18

    215 = 215mm the width of the tyre..
    35 = 35 profile (35% of 215..)
    R18 = 18 inches..
    my mate has 18's on his accord, u legally can go 2inches up from standard.. i think, not sure about your state, however u can go up any size really if they're engineered

    It all depends on the rules for your state. For example in NSW i think they can only go up 2" in rim size. In the ACT, we can go up 15% greater than standard diameter (which makes 18's easily legal).

    Best to check with the QLD RTA, unless a QLD member here knows the exact rules

    in NSW its 2in bigger, however the Accord being such a big car, the cops usually dont care bout them if u whack 18's on

    ur real worry is ur insurance company....

    Most insurance agencies won't allow the width to be more than 7 inches across irregardless of rim size..

    I think only Just Cars allow wider rims... Best to look for a broker who can find you the best deals while u kick back and relaxxxxx....

    so essentially, no more then 7' across the tire, how bout the rim? i'm in debate of whether or not to go 17 or 18'. most will prob say the bigger the better, but i'm a bit weary of over doing it
    anyone got some pics of 17' on the accord i can have a quick squize at

    There's some real crazy ass ugly shit as well though.

    Or just browse some of the US honda forums - loads of accords on 17's.

    i rang up the qld rta the other day just to get som info
    in qld the outside diameter of the tire is not allowed 15mm over or 26mm under stadard - so you can fit 18's leagally with 35 profile
    which brings it 6mm under standard so it will sit 6 mil lower-
    40 profile worked out 16mm over which ment they were illigal by 1mm..
