Hey guys I have been trying for ages to find a carbon fibre bonnet for my 2nd generation integra but so far with no luck i do not want to bring it over from the states from a website company so can anyone suggest a company here in Australia that could get me one? cheers.

    nope...

get one made from Matt Waterman Mostorsports Design from a mould of your bonnet and i will buy one too... (maybe!)

    http://www.mwmd.com.au/Composites.htm

maybe a few other G2 guys could go in for a group buy...

imagine that - a full custom CF bonnet?

PS - why do you want one?

    Custom ay...

    Full CF ay...

    Sounds pricey

Guys in the US pay around US$350 for a decent one, I hear most are just a fibreglass shell with a CF cover, and others have shoddy latches, requiring hood pins and such.

So that's $400 for the mould of your bonnet, then $800 on top of that for a CF bonnet?

For a custom CF bonnet that fits like stock that price isn't bad at all.... anyone interested for DC2 Integra?

yes - 400 for reusable mould and 800 each for teh CF bonnets...

these were quoted over 18 months ago...

i am waiting to hear from Matt on his current price structure...

    but teh more the merrier!!!

reasons i want a carbon bonnet are- they look damn tuff, I can get some custom venting for heat reduction and it would be good to lose a few kilos off the front of the car. I spoke to a guy over here in Adelaide who does custom carbon fibre for motorbikes racecars etc. he quoted me $2000 for the mould and then $1200 for each bonnet! thats a huge difference to yours tinkerbell, get me a hookup to your guy and ill get a mould done in a second!

Can someone clarify whether CF bonnets (full CF or semi fibreglass/mix) are legal in NSW at all? Eg., legal/roadworthy with engineers cert, etc, or completely ILLEGAL? Tinkerbell?
I'd just like to know, as i've heard many conflicting stories.
