New C.E.O. for Honda Australia

Honda Australia has got a new leader after the promotion of the outgoing C.E.O. and Managing Director, Mr Hiroshi Toda, to President of Honda Automobile Thailand, Honda Asia/Oceania's largest market.

The new Managing Director and CEO, Mr Toshio Iwamoto, takes over the reigns of Honda Australia as of 1 June 2005, following a three-year appointment as Senior Director of Honda New Zealand.

Mr Iwamoto joined Honda Motor Company in 1979 and has served in a number of Honda subsidiaries around the world and has a wide range of experience across Honda’s product range.

hmmm he did come from honda NZ and they basically have the same setup as us.... although the NZ market is flooded with imports so its hard to say if he will bring R's into Australia
