Thread: wats the deal

    ok guys just wondering wat the deal is with us and coupe ek civics...

    on car domain 90% of modded ek civics are coupes... only 10% are modded hatches...

    does anyone know why they are soooo popular...

    i like em but also like the hatches...

    I guess coz it was US designed and built.. its a yank think. My gf went to the US recently and she said there were HEAPS of them.

    Cause the EK Coupe (actually classified an EM here in Aus as well as the US) looks 10 times better than the EK Hatch in stock form. As soon as you start modifying it, the Coupe is starting to look even better. :P

    You guys are close, but have forgotten the fact that the US never got the EK4 hatch and that the EM1 coupe was built for their market. Aggressively marketed as the "Si", they became a cult thing.

    to be honest i like civic coupe better than hatch in term of looks...the tail light r sexehh

    but for performance i reckon hatch is better since they have lighter body

    ah well dats my 2c

    ok fair enough... but wat happens when u start modifying the coupe... would it cost more to modify compared to a hatch...

    no sure of prices for bodykits for coupes or wat type of kits they actually have...

    and wats the biggest difference between the 2... interior room, accoustics for stereo, interior trim...

    not many hotted up coupe civics up in brissie... u guys are starting to change my about coupes and wanting one even more now...

    just been checking out the coupes, farkkkk there expensive... from wat i have seen on ads they cost more than the vtir civics...

    Lots more bodykit parts for the EM Coupe, but you have to get them from the US.

    www.clubsi.com is the place to go to to see what can be done with them.

    I'd go the coupe over a hatch - they just look sexy - especially in the US Electron Blue Pearl (EBP).
