i read on a site that the only difference between the CTR cams and the ITR cams are the intake, its more aggressive on the CTR. but the exhaust cam on the CTR is exactly the same.

If they are the same spec cam, it wouldn't suprise me if they share the same part.

Do you guys know the lift and duration of CTR and ITR?

From what i have learnt too - ( we are all still learning )

Civic type R and Integra type are the same camshaft upon outlet ( exhaust) - but the intake cam of the civic type R is more aggressive ( IE giving more duration and lift on its V-tec lobe) ...

Umm...And....in basic essence , the CTR bottom end block is a b18c VTir block , just with correct compression and pistons to make it a 1.6 litre.

    I wish i had a b16b

nah - CTR is only 3 degrees more duration - same lift...

search the bloody internet guys!!! it is all out there,

    or goto Honda-tech.com and search...

PS - there is no identity 'code' - it is the engraved rings on the ends of the cams...

hmm I thought the B18C(R) and the B16B are actually based on the B16A block - bored out for the B18C(R).

If you notice, the Type R manifolds etc will bolt straight onto a B16A whereas the B18C (VTiR) does not accept these manifolds - even a B18C(R) manifold will not fit onto a B18C Block

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG PLEASE PEOPLE !!

it makes me want to scream somethimes eh?

the B18C as used in Type R integras is a B18C with a B18C crank using B18C lenght rods...

it has a B16A head, slightly ported in house by Honda.

it is NOT, as some would say, based on the B16A block

    consider yourself CORRECTED fool
