    Auto GSI Problems??

    Hi

I have a problem with my integra gsi 1994 model. Everytime i try to accelrate just after taking a corner it seems like the gear box changes gears to netural as there is no power and the engine just reves and the all of a sudden it changes gears and the car takes off. other times when i am driving stright and press the accelrater to the metal the car has no power and the engine just revs and the changes gears and accelrates...

does anyone has this problem?? anythoughts on what it might be??

or rebuild, but i'm no mechanic so i could be wrong....

I'd go to a tranny place and get it checked out for sure

I think he means check the level and condition of what is already in there... if it's pretty bad changing it might help.... but sounds like it's slipping pretty bad.

They don't reco em generally. They take yours and give you another box that has been reco'ed already.

You are up for a couple of grand minimum.

Its not gonna be fluid related and it has nothing to do with the overdrive button although manually changing down gears whilst driving ie. pretending you have a tiptronic will certainly shorten the life of the box.
