Just some advice, i can see that you are a newbie. Do a search cause there are heaps of threads already that discuss workshops in Melbourne.

Just use keywords like 'workshops in Melbourne' and you will find a starting point.

What have you done to the car?
If it's stock have you tried resetting the ECU? If not take the ground wire off the battery for an hour and re hook it up. Should reset your settings and re adjust itself when you start driving.

If your car is stock... sounds like one of your sensors is playing up and causing the car to run "wrong" a programmable ecu won't fix this problem unless you replace all your sensors, along with a programmable ECU. The easiest way is to diagnose what’s wrong with your car replace the required sensors, which will result in everything returning to normal on your stock ECU, if your after performance gains, then look at a tuneable ECU.
