DIY ED Civic Front Swaybar Install

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

    Howdy all

Recently I purchased some suspension products for my lil ED, some of these included a pair of Whiteline swaybars thanks to my mate egsi That deserves a bold hehehe

    *DIY Wrench O' Metre*

The install is fairly straight forward, 2 1/2 Wrenches, almost a copy of the original setup. Hard part comes if your doing it by yourself, you will then need some strength and atleast 4 sets of arms, So Get Some Friends

    Lets begin..

Firstly before jacking up the car undo the wheel nuts slightly. Now you can jack up your car, make sure to support your rear wheels as you can never be too safe.

*You will need to jack your car up a fair bit to give you room to work under the car, then support the car on jack stands.

With the car supported nice and safe on jack stands begin to undo your old crusty swaybar. Once all the bolts are undone enjoy the struggle of getting that baby out and take your wheels off for access.

Now simply put in your new Whiteline swaybar, it will assemble the same way as the old one, including the order of the bushes at the front LCA’s.

*Make sure you apply the provided grease to any parts of the bushes thatwill be in contact with metal.

Here's a diagram I prepared earlier, Remember the bolt thingie goes down the middle just incase your a moron

!!!!!!*NOTE: AT THE BOTTOM DO NOT PUT THE WASHER AT THE LCA! PUT THE BUSH AGAINST THE LCA AND HAVE THE WASHER BETWEEN THE BUSH AND THE NUT*!!!!!!!

Put the wheels back on your car and lower it back to the ground. You will now need to tighten/check the setup around the LCA.

*Make sure when tightening that you do not cause the bushes to deform.

You’re good to go! Enjoy the new found cornering performance!!! W00t

Unfortunately I was busy holding everything up to take progress pics, even my knee was busy! but I do have some end shots... Enjoy!

well I kinda encountered some problems, i don't know if they're down to me or what. I copied the OEM setup of the bushes etc and at the bottom where i put the washer at the lca the bush kinda got pushed onto the nut ooops!

so i fixed that up and im feeling alil happier heheh

I'm so stuffed each week i can't find the time to get my rear one on so I might get my local workshop to do it for me

I'll get pics of me taking corners like crazy soon, the car is insane

I have abit of oversteer atm, not too bad due to my tyre pressures and i even like abit of oversteer . The car is a beast through any corner even without the rear! I can catch up to almost anything and/or get away from anything in a corner.

    Whiteline Swaybars = Ownage~@!!!
