    I'm confuse
SIR's were only made 89-91 and because the 15yo rule now only applies to cars after 88 they can no longer be imported from Japan.
Some people imported them before the rule changed.

I imported an EF9. Great car and very happy with it but importing is such a hassle - the beuracracy you have to contend with is pretty major. The added cost and time to get a boat from Japan is frustrating. Since demand from China is so strong there arne't that many car carriers ships interested in coming to Australia. I waited close to five months after purchasing to receive my car! IMHO spend the 10k+ its cheaper and more convenient and alot less stress.

So dont go over that. or 6k @ max.
    bollocks to that
go find me one complied for that price.

you are better off finding one here. i was quite happy paying 10 or so for my old ef8. could count the faults on one hand. and that is good for a 15yo car.

Rough guess about 11-12k.....but that includes compliance and install new t/belt, w/pump, plugs , leads etc. It is a mint cond'n EF9 though, well looked after by its owner.

I picked up my black with metalic red flakes 1990 crx SiR 94000km on thursday the 18th of the 8th. roughly cost me 14g total including my insurance and rego. No rust no problems, Tanabe struts front n back. All options and a tanabe 2.5" stainless exhaust all the way the through with tanabe sports muffler and tip. but then factor in getting a service done just to make sure everythings ok.
