heard some bad reports about ZE series....and friend has a set of 17's on his dc2....daily driven at speed limits and catious aroudn corners dont think tyres play much of a problem but if your gonna push it i say NO!!....like someone said yoko's IMO
I would steer clear of the Falken Ziex range also. They are attrocious in the wet. I mean, if you want tyres that last a lifetime then yeah..go for it, but if your thinking safety...then give it a miss....they seem to be ok on the smaller cars though, anything the size of a teg or heavier I would give it a miss.
I'm using dunlop fm901's and also dunlop direzza's. Not in the price range you mentioned unfortunately but I haven't had any problems with them, I'm quite happy.
I wouldn't go the ST115' falkens either, as I've heard they are an ok tyre but don't last that long with wear.
The FK451's are supposed to be one of the better Falken tyres and handle better in the wet, but haven't tried them.
