    Cam spec question

    Don't know if this is in the right section.

    These cams specs anygood?

    INTAKE: Duration: 237.17° @ 0.060 INCHES Lift: 0.5583 INCHES
    EXHAUST: Duration: 256° @ 0.050 INCHES Lift: 0.494 INCHES

    also changing cams and valve springs involve taking off the head?

    when converted to metric apparently their just ITR/CTR cams... but... you have a prelude vtir?

    anyways both can be done without head off... special tool is required to hold valves in place to remove retainer and spring... funnily enough a lot of mechanics don't have this and will charge labour for head removal

    nah for mates b16a, so these cams are ITR\CTR

    Those cam specs sound way too big for a B16A
    14mm of lift on the intake cam is huge. Definitely need good springs.
    Strange to have a greater overlap on the exhaust cam, usually for race/extreme street setup. 255 deg on exhaust with that lift is getting into the realm of toda spec C range

    Civic Type-R And Integra Type-R cam specs
    Int-243 dur. / 11.5mm lift
    Exh-235 dur. / 10.5mm lift

    Gotta agree the lift figures look a bit wack...
    If they are real, you'll likley have valve train geometry issues,
    + the retainer will likley smack into the top of the valve stem seal.

    if his cams are itr/ctr cams then can he just bolt on these without any other mods and use stock cam gears, valve springs etc (sorry if its a dumb question)
