slight gearbox crunching sound, any ideas??

lately i've noticed that my gear box makes a slight crunching sound when i change into 4th gear quickly... although if i do it slowly and at the right rev range it doesn't crunch.

you guys have any idea what it could be and if its a major problem or something small?

    cheers in advance.

i got a similiar "problem".. its only when i quick shift straight down.. ie. from 1 to 2 and from 3 to 4... someone said the crunching noise is from the syncros..

Its easy just need a funnel and hose

I used to have that problem when i shift to 3rd gear. I changed my gearbox oil with genuine honda gearbox oil and problem was solved.

more than likely your synchro's are starting to wear.

change your oil and see how you go.
