    Regarding h22a in a CD5

hey guys im FKJACCORD! hope you guys are doing well!
Im located in melbourne and i would like to know where some of the best places to get a h22a conversation in?
ive asked around with my friends and where they got it done was not recommended so i would like your point of view or where you have heard of places where they do a good job.

    thanks for you time.

just go to a normal mechanic.
Its such a simple swap that u dont need a performanced based workshop to put the engine in.
Its not really a conversion but pretty much a straight bolt in.
Get the correct info off the net and ur ready to go.

What about ecu and stuff? so its just a straight up bolt in through all the engine mounts? and just use the standard f22b gearbox or get the whole front cut off another car... and use the gearbox that comes with the engine?

easiest for just a complete half cut. then u no worry if u missing a mount here or ecu etc.

    - get a front cut

-it is a straight bolt in except for one mount that needs 1mm milled of each side to fit. basically, you use all the accord mounts except for the passenger side mount which is a modified h22a mount.

-use the gearbox that came with the h22a, it has the h22a ratios and if ur lucky will come with OEM LSD

-use the h22a ecu and pull apart the loom in the h22a front cut to get the extra wiring to make a new separate loom for the sensors on the h22a that the f22b engine doesnt have. Route them from the sensors back to the ecu where u plug them in.

edit- the h22a conversion in an accord is one of the easiest honda conversions to do as block dimensions are the same and the accord wiring loom plugs straight into the h22a ecu ( 2 pins in one of the ecu plugs have to be swapped with one another and a couple of others have to be added)

Heaps of JDM accords came with h22a's from the factory, so u could say that h22a's were made for accords and as usual australia missed out on all ther JDM goodies.
