c pillar brace

[EGB16A]

hey guys

just wondering if anyone has installed a c pillar bar in their EG hatch? I picked one up the other day, and can't wait to install it. I've heard both good and bad things about them. I'd love to hear your feed back.

secondly, has anyone got a link or info on the actual installation? I understand i gotta cut my trim. I'm just after a few pointers.

Yeah, I had one in a EK. Made a huge difference to my car. Installation is easy. I didn't cut any plasticin my EK, just put it ontop of the plastics and it was fine. Just bolts into the top seatbelt points at the rear.

Take all of 5 min to do.

tee hee.. i know in dc2 (which should be relatively the same) it just bolts up to the seatbelt bolt, which means u just need to remove the plastic cover and then ratchet the bolt off?

Definatly... its not installed yet. I've cut the plastics so far but i gotta get to a mates place to borrow his socket set, cause my old man nicked mine.

i'll have a write up or something by next weekend. Anything imparticular u want me to include?

i want one but i just think that it might attract too much attention in an EG - ie too visible to the blue and white.
