Comptech Ice box Intake install on Integra VTIR

Descrtiption
Comptech intake is a short ram design and cold air duct they call it a hybrid system, the best of both worlds, Short distance for air to flow and cold air sucked up.
i have used a pod thats just been stuck on the standard integra piping it improved the car not much but used to get a lot of heat soak so i decided to get one these, they have been proven a great intake. so here goes
install
you need
- 14mm spanner / socket
- 10mm spanner /socket
- Screwdriver / flat and phillips
- umm maybe other tools but this is the basics
1 . Well after unpacking all the items and the instructions you find out (as leo told me) they are pretty limited pics make a bit of sense but kinda like a puzzle :P was fun though haha
2. As you can see i have already removed the stock resonator and intake all that is left is the piping unscew the clip holding it on on the inlet manifold and pull off the breather pipe
3. i decided to start working out where things went so i took the main intake pipe the chrome one and fitted the rubbers ends so that it could flex and sit snug on the inlet manifold, the part that connects to manifold is a setp down rubber seal, the end that is near the filter is a flexy rubber mount like one of those straws hehe, fix them in place with jubilee clips screw them nice and tight.
4. I then fixed the brackets in place that hold the intake box, they are supposed to fit around the ABS but mine was a little tight and didnt quite fit, all is not lost i got out the hacksaw and in 10 seconds modifyed it and it fits perfect.
5. when the drivers side bracket is in place, put the box in AND then install the passenger side bracket casue its a tight squeeze do up all the bolts for the brackts and then the bolts inside the box, make sure you dont overtighten it will warp the box and the lid wont fit
6. Once the plastic housing is in place i put the intake arm and fixed it onto the inlet manifold and tightened the jubilee clips nice and tight make sure its fits on well dont want it open coming off.
7. Next the filter needs a downsize bracket so the piping will fit this will also need a jubilee clip to hold that in place.
8. you now need to fit the extension on the cold air intake part and fix it in place with a bracket this is the tough part. I had to jack the car up a little to get under it, had to undo the plastic stuff on the bottom of the car to get to the cold air duct, couple of bolts hold them on place, after doing this i found were the instructions were saying to mount the last bracket.
9. its kinda hard to work out in the photo but the bracket bolts to the frame of the car, and holds the cold air duct to the frame with a jubilee clip nice and tight also. make sure its all tight and replace the plastic peices under the car
10. Now fix the filter part into the box and attach the piping to the filter tighten the jubilee clips so its all nice and tight. now your almost done.
11. Put the lid to the intake on. and remember to pull the fuse on the ECU which is up in the passenger side top corner fuse box 15amp fuse labeled ECU pull it out so the ECU resets, it will then learn the cars new intake setting and change to suit...oh you can apply some filter oil supplied with kit to the filter
Your done, looks kinda like the standard intake, but with a nice chrome arm
Conclusion
The intake looks great to start off with, after starting the car its a little quieter than my old intake that made a metallic noise but thats good i dont want to much noise, after taking the car for a spin seems more responsive not much off a huge diff but noticeable, hitting Vtec its alot less angry but still makes a great noice, and also makes the sucking noise when you turn off car 
overall Great prodcut took and hour to install instructions werent that bad only had to slightly modify it a little ( prob just my car) i want to see it on the dyno which will be next month now after new headers
