    How good is the heatwrap for the headers? Veiws anyone?

    one bloke who works for an exhaust shop told me that it would cause the headers to crack given time.
    not sure of the exact reason why, but he recommended getting them competition coated instead.


    i just don't see what the difference is with heatwrap & getting it coated.

    can anyone shed some light ?

    Heatwrap when wrapped incorrectly... will cause moisture build up.. hence the cracking.

    I reckon HPC coating is the way to go...

    u cannot wrap mild steel headers, they will RUST, thus it's more popular to coat them, because the coat also prevents rust

    it is better to wrap because it provides a proper insulating layer, instead of a layer of paint only
