Ok, I wanna know a few things.

Do we want to continue the F1 competition (i'm happy to run it again)
Another thing is, how about before the start of the 2006 season we pick who we think will be the 2006 World Drivers Champion and which Team will win the World Constructures Title?

If you get it right say what 3 points for each, or 5 points?
Any other suggestions and what you think about the idea?

    Yes lets do it again.

Yes lets tip a winner and constructor.

Lets also change the rules based on retirements. Coz basically if your number one driver retires ur whole tips are ****ed, even if they are in the right order.

I reckon we also tip pole and fastest lap as well for bonus points? Does anyone else like this idea?

    Explain more please!

Pole Position we could do, say 1 point for guessing pole.
    Not a bad idea.

    Well if i had

    1. Kimi
    2. The champ
    3. fisi
    4 Webber
    5. Sato

and after kimi retires the result was

    1. The champ
    2. Fisi
    3. Webber
    4. Sato

Despite the fact that the order was right, I'd get zero. I reckon if someone retires, everyone from that position down should be moved up.

Pole position AND fastest lap. Coz we would have to try and pick pole on the friday (say after practice) then when we put the tips in on saturday (or sunday) we name a fastest lap dude too.

It would be hard to implement the retirment rule, but hell yeah lets run it again and pole position is a great idea too!

how about a bonus point system by nominating the championship winner before the season starts?

imo we should leave the tipping comp as is... else it mite get too complicated...
but tipping the champion/team at the start of the season is a good idea... and tipping the pole position sounds good too... .. n how about fastest lap aswell?

    so something lik this..
    - World champion/team (put in before the first round)

    then @ every round...
    - Pole position (no entries accepted after qualifying starts)
    - Top 8 tips
    - Fastest Lap

I think that the additions for the comp are great... next year i'm definitely going to participate!

nEUROtic, the only problem with the retirement thing is that you would have to tip about 12 drivers (in the case that 4 retired) but what if more retired? You wouldn't know how many mishaps would happen in the race... so unless you tipped the whole field (which would be bloody difficult) it would be hard to work out i think.

yeh the retirements thing can be too hard

as well as fastest lap and pole position, why not have what i call a '*' (star) racer. basically this is the driver who makes up the most positions from the start grid position to when he is classified in the end

for example. Kimi in Japan started from 17th but finished first, so the tipper would get 17 - 1 = 16 pts.
could make things real interesting. esp. towards the later part of the tipping season
