basically bigger capacity = more torque........but the crank doesn't let it rev out as much (reliably)
Got a question? Check out the FAQ - http://www.ozhonda.com/go/faq

HP = torque times by rpm (basically)

By using a 2 litre block and increasing the torque of the engine and a b series vtec head to allow the engine to rev higher quite simply you end up with more horsepower.

Wynode from what i have read with the correct rod/piston choice the rod/stroke ratio is close to optimal which denotes reliable high rpm operation as the r/s ratio dictates where the force is being placed on the cylinder walls.

Although an ITR crank is the best choice as Toda_AU has stated in previous posts.

Problems that people run into with high rpm reliablity are due mostly to the inherent weak casting/cylinder sleeves of the B20 block although that is at extremely high rpm.

Go to www.hondaswap.com.au there is a wealth of information there.
