    5Gen - Smoked Headlights

    Has anyone ever done or have pics of a 5G pLude with tinted or smoked headlights....? My mate did it to his civic JDM style where he painted black the headlight casing ( not the cover ) so the beams are still alright...
    N E pics or info would b great.....

    jump on Preludeaustralia mate, one of the members there did it i belive, it was on a black lude to looked very nice IMO.

    As for smoking or tinting the cover, i wouldnt do this as it could cause problems when driving at night and with our good friends in the highway division.

    if your just going to paint the head light sorrounding its very simple.
    1. pull out ya head lights
    2. place them in the oven (about 180deg or so) untill the glue holding the clear plastic on the out side is soft. (pull all the bulbes and wiring out first)
    3. mask up the areas u wish not to paint.
    4. paint the sorrounding
    5. place back in the oven untill glue is soft ant tackie
    6. replace head light cover
    7. seal with silicion.

    Thanks mate.....i thought it would be like that....i vs seen sum DIY's on civics so it sounds preety simple...i herd u can also use a hair dryer.......?
