Dont know what you have down your way, but hit up your local MG car club. You dont have to have an MG to join. Well, around here you dont, you pay your fee which 'buys' you a share of a rusted pos they have sittin around somewhere lol. Thus, makin you an 'owner' of an MG.
They normaly have lots of hill climbs and khanacross (sp) events organised. Again, I dont know your local situation, but here ( around Newcastle) theres events pretty often.

But with the classic MG clubs, even at full speed in the mountains, they would still be under the speed limit.. That's why it's possible for them.
