To me, most 91 and 95 octane petrols are the same. They come from the few refineries that were have in australia. The 98 octane fuels are blended to the company's requirement and hence have a bigger difference. For your JDM prelude (if it has a JDM engine), I'd stick to vortex98

After trialing all 3 types of fuel, Optimax, Vortex 95 and Vortex 98 this is my findings.

Vortex 95 is better of mileage getting around 8% more kms than Optimax.
Vortex 98 revs faster but has slight worse mileage then 95 but still better than Optimax. For the meantime i will stick to Vortex 95.

Depends on your car man. I just filled up my tank with Vortex 95 (60L tank) and it cost me $75.

I'll be driving my baby up to Newcastle today and back on sunday so highway driving doing 90kmph damn red P's!!! So ill post my findings on monday morning!

My camry would be tuned for 91 octane but i find the car isnt as sluggish as it is when im using normal ULP. I can notice A HUGE DIFFERENCE in smoothness tho when using vortex over 95 ron octane from shell. I think shell stinks now.

I get 500km out of a tank of 95 shell ron so ill see what vortex gives me!

Optimax is still 98 RON, however Shell has introduced Optimax Extreme which is 100RON with 5% ethanol i think.

You're using 95 RON in a JDM 'lude? ...... That's nearly as bad as someone I knew who always filled up with 95 RON in their R34 GT-T Skyline...
