Motor mount inserts and all new bushes

I recently upgraded my motor and now that I have a lot of extra power I need to apply it to the road

I purchased a complete bushing set called HYPER-FLEX bushing kits from Energy Suspension in the US

    This kit included:

    - Front Control Arm Bushings
    - Rear Control Arm Bushings
    - Front Strut Rod Bushings
    - Front Shock Mount Bushings
    - Rear Shock Mount Bushings
    - Front End Links
    - Steering Rack Bushings (power steering)
    - Transmission Shifter Stabilizer Bushings (manual tranny)
    - Tie Rod End Boots (did not use)
    - Ball Joint End Boots (did not use)
    - Front Sway Bar Bushings - 22mm
    - Rear Sway Bar Bushings - 15mm
    - Rear Trailing Arm Bushings

All bushes are POLYURETHANE and I chose red, black is also available

This is every bush in the whole I car couldn’t find one untouched

The kit was around $240 au, very cheap compared to that I got quoted $200 for just rear trailing bushes locally not fitted

I got these installed by a suspension specialist as I didn’t want to spend all week trying to push these bushes in myself

    Fitment the bushes cost $600

I also purchased the motor mount inserts from Energy Suspension
These slip inside your existing engine mount to make them a solid mount therefore a stiffer fixture to the body
This reduced the amount of play my motor had dramatically as it would almost lift out of the engine bay upon acceleration
Now its as stiff as a rock so the power can go to the floor
Having the mounts make a lot of the vibrations travel throughout the car, so if you like having a smooth ride don’t bother to get these

This set of three motor mount inserts front, back and side cost around $40 au
They don’t make one for the gearbox, who know why not?

The motor mounts I installed my self therefore was free
The front and side mounts are easy but the rear is very difficult not much space to work with, the inserts fit very tight

All up for the bushes and inserts cost $340 au including delivery to my door via UPS

You can see below the red circles are the bushes and the yellow boxes are the motor mount inserts

My existing suspension upgrades included yellow Koni adjustables, Pedders springs and a front strut brace
Before I had the strut brace installed the seams on the strut towers started to split and come apart
The hard driving and stiff shocks did this but once the strut brace was put it in it rectified this problem

My cornering was always good but now its even better
The bushes was most noticeable in the shifter stabiliser, it is more straight to the point with less wobble
I also have no more annoying squeaks or rattles
The ride is a little stiffer then stock but I like it like that
The motor mounts and new bushes helped with my wheel tramp/hop problems reducing it slightly but it’s still a problem
    I have a LSD box

Total cost of this project was $940 + my labour

The money could have been spent elsewhere but the way I drive it had to be done.

I am yet to be out handled by another car
