Civic sport is good, but Civic Si 4 door is better

Honda preview a Civic Si 4 doors concept:

Honda AU has been talking about bringing the 5 doors. I reckon this one is a better option.

It'll be heavier than coupe Si, but practicality is my favour.

It's nice but I think if we do get Si or Type R it will be based on our jap styled model (simular to mugen dominator) which I like more than Euro or USA models.

I just found out that we're not getting the new Civic in hatch form. That's pretty disappointing. Guess my next car wont be a Honda after all.

i've driven the sport, it's pretty nice.

as for the hatches honda aust. are looking at ways of importing them from the UK as there is a demand for them, however this stage it isn't looking financially possible as we'd be losing money on both the exchange rate and the actual importing costs.

i have also read an article that honda is developing a honda civic type R using a 2.2L destroked k24a (to improve torque over k20a)

and also...... wait for it...... a civic RR, yes that is double R

i'm not sure what engine but they're looking at having at least 225bhp

Yeah,I went the Melbourne Motor Show ,seeing the new Civic in the flesh unfortunately, did not impress me.The 2.0 litre with the body kit looked very good, but it is not worth nearly $32,000.it has no suspension or motor tuning done, why call it "Sports".Australia needs the hatch,I know the arguments of why we haven't got it,yet, but to have such a restricted choice in the models will put Honda Australia in a disadvantageous sales position.
If some people are looking for a true sports orientated Civic they are NOT going to find it .They will be looking elsewhere eg. Renault Clio,Polo Gti,etc.,I hate to say it could also include me.
