i was told that through heavy driving the f20c will burn about 1.7 litres per 1000kms and the k20a will drink 1 to 1.2 litres. i am having the same problem with my k20a where it is losing about 1 litre per 1000kms. i didnt think this was right either.

Maybe the rings need some attention?

you must be driving it hard, alot

look at the engine, 2l producing 176kw , 4cyl. these engines have real short piston skirts. something has to give.

its known that they use oil, but maybe in your case its a bit much, maybe you should drive it like a granny for 2 weeks and see if there is a difference in oil consumption.

i have taken my s2k to 2 track days, and on both trackdays i have checked the oil levels and it barely went down, wasnt even noticeable. Im aware honda engines burn oil as this happend when i use to have my em1 but it only burned abit. Burning oil could also come down to how the car was broken in.

obviously you will burn a small amount of oil from vapours going from teh crankcase up into the air intake and into the chamber, this is what a catch can avoids, but that much oil i would say that there is somethin seriously wrong man... piston rings for sure at least..
