    depending on how good ur rubber is and ur reaction time...

    most lil 4 cyl's should beat a normal v6 or v8 off the line - just once the v8s torque kicks in they eat us in 3rd gear !!! its a fact. WE cant mess with cars 2 times + ou rcapacity on a straight line. But show them a curvy road and we are grining !

    I beg to differ, I dont see how a lil 4 cyl like ours with half as much torque can beat a v8 off the launch. I think v8 torque will move the car alot faster off the mark.
    Further, we have FF as opposed to FR.

    An Auto V8....can be taken off the mark, but not a manual. RWD has much less wheelspin and will swallow you up if its a manual!

    yeh i agree auto u can beat off the mark
    but generally manual is quicker

    unlkess they r crappy driver

    but yehif u got common mod like exhaust and intake u should beat old 5L V8

    but not the new 5.7L V8

    my friend raced his sisters itr-turbo against a hsv clubsport and said it was the only car he lost to. he raced the clubbie three times from a standing start and lost once. the other 2 races were very close.
