i find i get just enough wheel spin if i launch i vtec. put it this way its not burn out spinning

Do you get any drivetrain shudder or jolt when you dump the clutch this high up?

At how many revs you can launch/dump at will very much depend on the quality of your tyres and the condition of your clutch.

How about redline/vtec dump in 1st then change into 2nd?

i tried slipping it in last nite... yeh bad smell.... but i heard the clutch cools down and reforms yeh?

no it doesnt cool down and reform, it just burns off, and in the end you'll have no clutch and need to get it replaced!

And yes as vtecchie said, you cant launch with VTEC its impossible no matter how much you change your VAFC to do it.. Must be 30km/h or more and have ALL the correct things to make it activate (oil pressure etc)

umm i think ur missing the point.
Yes VTEC will kick in when launching. If its in 1st and you sit there spinning it WILL kick in.

But technically speaking you can't launch in VTEC. But once you get off the mark you can get it above 6Krpm
