    DC2 Window Rattle DIY

    i would like to request a DIY from anyone that know how to remove that INsane Rattle from the Dc2 windows when they are wound down.

    its really starting to bug me now i know theres a way to do it just wanna know what actually needs to be done!

    umm mine has this weird thing where i lower the window and it clucks and drops a bit.. and i can actually physically move the window up and down pulling on the glass.. so i think its came of its housing or whatever..

    pics would be great help..

    naa if it did it would of fallen off. ull get wat i mean once i post some pics.

    i have that problem as well.. but i have another issue that zorrt is addressing
    where the window clanks and rattle when been wound down. ill keep link to that though might help =P

    Hey thats a pretty good guide.


    Might be best to do both while ur door is pulled apart. I'll do mine this weekend since I'm gonna be pulling my doors apart to take pics anyways.

    wlee2, you may have one your control arms not firmly connected (and probably damaged) to the door's frame. This happened to me a while back, and I put in a huge screw next to the joint and havn't had a problem since.

    your not going to believe this..

    after looking at all that trouble with window rattle you wanna know what the rattle was??????!!!!!!

    i give ya a guess it wasent the window =P



    okok.. it sorta of was and sorta not..

    the 3 bolts that u need to take of to remove the mechanism to go up and down.. well all 3 of those bolts were LOOSE!!!!!.. and moving around when the window went up and down.. causing what sounds like rattle .. was infact the whole mechanism just vibrating..

    problem solved.. tightend them up.. added new washers.. to the bolts.. and while i was there.. oiled the track.. just for good measure..
