    D16Y1 Injector Upgrade

Hey guys, my mate wants to put bigger injectors on a n/a d16y1. Where can he get some in aussie and what size should he go?

Anyone know if other injectors say like from an accord or prelude will fit?

    Cheers.

what work does he have done that justifies larger injectors? He better have one seriously modified engine to need larger injectors on an n/a d16y1

Hehe thats what i told him it will most probably make no difference for his application...

Ask me something nissan and i'd be alrite to give him advice... but not sure on the honda stuff... so i'm here to ask because he insists. Not much has been done to the car... he just got it not long ago - cai, exhaust and chip.

there is absolutely no reason for him to put larger injectors on in that case then. It will do nothing, but cost him a lot of money for the injectors and getting the computer reprogrammed and tuned.

best injector upgrade he can do is a ultrasonic clean. get tehm back to factory spec's.
otherwise anything under 300cc and top feed high impedance(saturated) will fit int he rail and make him run nice and rich to support all that new air he has comming in!

you can git much larger than 300cc's in the rail without a problem...

wats the point of getting bigger injectors ?? is he using the most of the flow ?

why not get a bigger pump first ?

but to make the most of the bigger injectors u would wanna get a programmable ecu

no, not on a stock ecu... I wouldn't run anything different than stock on a stock ecu. Bad news.

300cc injectors would support 220+Hp@crank so there must be a good reason for this guy to need an injector upgrade...

Any reason for the upgrade or is it just for the w@nk factor?

New fuel pump would probably be a much better mod...

stock fuel pump is more than capable of supporting even mildly upgraded injectors.
