    hondas weird.. just noticed my windscreen wipers today - when they came into honda they were both aftermarket gloss black and NOW one of em is matte black? wtf?

    i def dun have 1k to waste... but thing is i want to get a stamp in my log book.. .if i diy there ll be no stamp???

    we have already talked about this like 4 times over dumbass. DIY it.
    IF you DIY obviously there will be no stamp ~ BUT you are paying mostly for labour to "check" everything so as i said b4 , get a mech to give a once over check and stamp it

    won't be 1k, dealership would charge $550-650
    yeah it's expensive but u SHOULD get a better job done lol

    FULL MAJOR SERVICE – (40K, 80K, 120K)



    • Steam clean engine and inner guard areas

    • Inspect Tyres (rotate if necessary)


    Full ‘Honda Engine Tune-Up’


    • Re-set valve clearances (tappets)

    • Change engine oil and oil filter

    • Replace spark plugs

    • Replace air filter and clean housing

    • Replace fuel filter and inspect lines

    • Check and reset ignition timing

    • Check PGMFi fuel injection system operation condition and complete function test



    • Inspect vehicle under-body condition

    • Inspect engine and transmission mounts

    • Inspect exhaust and catalytic converter condition

    • Tighten all suspension mounting bolts

    • Tighten all steering linkages and joints

    • Check cleaning ability of wiper blades



    • Check and correct all under hood fluid levels to maximum capacity

    • Check operation of engine thermatic fans

    • Check and tighten engine drive belts

    • Check under hood cables, hoses and wiring

    • Lube all door hinge pins and check straps

    • Inspect all vehicle lighting



    • Check operation of Honda security immobilizer system



    • Complete auto/manual transmission service



    • Check, de-dust and service all brakes

    • Replace brake fluid, both normal and ABS (if applicable)

    • Inspect and test ABS system using Honda PGM unit

    • Adjust hand brake cable



    • Inspect air conditioning operation

    • Reset compressor drive belt tension

    • Check air con system gas level/content

    • Test air con operating temperature

    DUDE....Where's your Honda Dealer?
    Cos' I went for a 80k service 2 years ago @ Doncaster Honda and it Cost me $980...
    After that I was like.....Fark that....DIY all the way....
    I seriously can't justify having to pay nearly 1k for a Stupid Stamp!
    My 120k Service is coming up and I'm just gonna do it all by myself...Saving over $700 EASY and that means more money for my Mod's!!!

    we have a fair few ozhonda members using us. we had 5 come in last week

    for $980 i hope u had ur cambelt changed or something like that coz it's $300-400 too expensive if it's JUST the service. (i guess u did have it done then coz cambelt replacement for ek's is about $340)
